The New York Liberty beat the Seattle Storm twice in three nights at Barclays Center, the Liberty’s home in Brooklyn — 95-83 on Monday, August 3, and 92-86 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The home sweep lifted New York to 19-13 and dropped Seattle to 6-27, stretching the Storm’s losing streak, which grew to 11 games (tying the franchise record) before snapping with a 97-88 win over Chicago on Aug. 10, leaving Seattle at 7-28; New York, meanwhile, beat Las Vegas 111-71 on Aug. 9 (20-13) before losing to Indiana 106-92 on Aug. 11 (20-14).

Both nights in Brooklyn

Breanna Stewart led the Liberty on both nights. On Monday she scored 24 points, with Jonquel Jones adding 20 and Sabrina Ionescu 18, while Flau’jae Johnson topped Seattle with 25. On Wednesday, Stewart put up 28, and Jones finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. Dominique Malonga led Seattle in the second game with 31 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in the loss.

The August 3 game also had a courtside guest: former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended and was seen with Liberty center Jonquel Jones before tip-off, per CBS Sports’ recap.

What’s next at the arena

Basketball returns Sunday, August 9, when the Liberty host the Las Vegas Aces, followed by the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, August 13.
