Miyu Yamashita closed out the CPKC Women’s Open on Sunday, August 23, 2026, the way she started it: in first place. The Japanese golfer led wire-to-wire at Royal Mayfair Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta, and finished nine strokes ahead of the field with a final-round 66, four shots under par. Yuri Yoshida finished second.
Her 72-hole total of 23-under 257 matched the lowest score ever posted in an LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour event, a mark Sei Young Kim set at the 2018 Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Yamashita’s nine-stroke margin also set a new tournament record, and the victory was her second of the 2026 season and fourth of her LPGA Tour career overall.
